CASE SCENARIO

A 35year old male presents with lower extremity weakness. He has been having increasing lower extremity weakness that started in his feet and has been ascending now to the level of his waist. His vital signs are all within normal limits. Physical exam is notable for weakness in his lower extremities. You suspect that the patient has Guillain-Barre Syndrome.
